Shelter

Shelter is a national charity that helps with housing problems.
They have a drop-in centre in Sheffield where you can get advice.

Location:

  • 33–37 Hereford Street, Sheffield, S1 4PP

Opening Times:

  • Monday to Friday 9-5pm

Appointment Information:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday – You can visit without an appointment

  • Tuesday, Thursday – You need to book an appointment first

Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice also has lots of housing information on their website.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue offer home safety visits to people who are at an increased of risk of fire in their home.

Fill in the online form on South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue's website to check if you are eligible. They will assess your physical or mental health, home environment or daily activities such as smoking.
