New to Sheffield is a website that helps people who are new to the city to find information, support, and services. It brings together advice about:

Basic needs

Information about Sheffield
Support for seeking sanctuary

in one easy place.

This website was created through strong partnerships across Sheffield. It is co-owned by Learn for Life Enterprise, a community hub, and Hive IT, a digital agency.

The website was made with help from many local people, university students, charities, the NHS, Sheffield City Council and organisations across Sheffield. It is designed to be simple, welcoming, and easy to use.

New to Sheffield is for everyone. It supports

Asylum seekers
Migrants
University students and
Local residents

to feel informed, supported, and part of the city.

Over 120 people from many different backgrounds have taken part in designing the website, which celebrates the strong community spirit across Sheffield.
